In March 2019 I started in the pharmacovigilance group as a Pharmacovilange Officer. The pharmacovigilance group is part of the global product safety Therapeutics unit in Frankfurt. This unit is responsible for the maintenance and monitoring of the safety profile of Merz Therapeutics medicinal products. Etablished procedures within this unit ensure the collection, detection, assessment, monitoring, and prevention of adverse effects with Merz Therapeutics medicinal products.
As a pharmacovigilance group we are etablishing a global safety network with our Merz Affiliates and Distribution Partners to ensure the exchange of adverse effect information. This network is the basis of our Merz Pharmacovigilance System.
In July 2020 I became the Debuty Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance in the EU and the Deputy Graduated Plan Officer in Germany for all Merz medicinal products. I also took over the responsibility of Debuty UK-Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance in January 2021.
In pharmacovigilance the safety of patients is our passion – the safe and beneficial use of our medicinal products is our highest goal. I contribute to this goal by maintaining safety data exchange procedures and standard operating procedures.
This ensures a detailed oversight of the safety profiles of our Merz Therapeutics medicinal products and continuously enhances our pharmacovigilance system to guarantee “better outcomes for more patients”.
