My journey within the Merz Group began in 1996 at Merz Consumer Care, a partner business of Merz Therapeutics. I worked as a National Key Account Manager for leading drugstore chains and supermarkets. In 2011, I was appointed Customer Team Director, where I was responsible for over 50 percent of total sales by developing and implementing strategic and tactical customer plans. After four years, I transitioned to Merz’s pharmaceutical business as Director Area Manager for the EMEA region, becoming Head of Distribution Partner Business for part of our product portfolio half a year later. After leading our distribution partner business in the EMEA region for five years, I was appointed Vice President and Head of Global Distribution Partner Management for Merz Therapeutics in 2020. Today, I lead a team that is responsible for 80 countries and 60 partners for all three regions EMEA, LATAM, and APAC. My team counts 26 people, and I report directly to our CEO. As you can see, I have already a long journey at the Merz Group, for which I am very grateful. My previous tasks and experiences have helped me to progress in my career and grow together with Merz to my current position.

I aim to inspire my team and our partners to distribute the full Merz Therapeutics product portfolio all over the world. For the benefit of each patient, my team and I try to pass on our passion and devotion to our partners and share our experience and results with them, always aiming to bring better outcomes to more patients.

Working with a very international network of 60 partners representing 80 countries from EMEA, APAC and LATAM makes my daily work life extremely interesting as there are always new topics to deal with and every day is different as customer and market dynamics have a strong influence on our business.

The management of our distribution partners means having a strong collaboration with them to achieve our financial targets but also to ensure they are working with our products in their local markets according to our guidelines and in a compliant manner.

Besides managing the operational daily business with my team, I spend time developing our mid- and long-term strategy, roadmap, and growth options for our Global Distribution Partner business. In this ever-changing environment we work in, I am a change agent and strongly believe in driving change myself and always trying to be that step ahead to ensure our success now and in future years to come.

We at Merz Tx have a hands-on culture as we have a flat hierarchical structure, which I personally really value – it is easy to reach out to colleagues and likewise I have an open door policy and love the uncomplicated, direct way of working within the organization.

I would also say that we are very passionate about what we do and are a truly diverse and international team of individuals. We are very close to our customers and thrive on this direct customer engagement and customer-centric way of working.
