Merz Therapeutics strengthens partnership with Grünenthal in Brazil

11/06/2026

Merz Therapeutics is further strengthening its partnership with Grünenthal, extending the collaboration into Brazil as of July 1, 2026. Grünenthal will take on responsibilities in the commercialization of XEOMIN® (incobotulinumtoxinA), taking over these activities from the current local partner, Biolab Farmacêutica. The commercialization of Pantogar®, Hepa-Merz® and Contractubex® will remain with Biolab.

This step builds on the existing collaboration between Merz Therapeutics and Grünenthal in Latin America, including the recent start of the partnership in Colombia in June 2026 and the ongoing partnerships in Mexico and Ecuador, and reflects the continued evolution of this relationship. By expanding the collaboration with Grünenthal into Brazil for XEOMIN®, both companies are reinforcing their joint approach across key markets in the region and enabling a more coordinated approach to supporting patient care.

With the expansion of our partnership with Grünenthal into Brazil, we are further strengthening how we collaborate across Latin America,” said Andrea von der Lippe, President Region International Markets at Merz Therapeutics. “By working with a trusted partner for our strategic product Xeomin, we aim to broaden our impact across the region and contribute to better outcomes for more patients.”

Merz Therapeutics continues to pursue collaborations that combine global expertise with strong local capabilities. Partnerships such as this are a central element of the company’s strategy to delivering value to healthcare systems and supporting patients worldwide.
