Effective, inclusive clinical trials are essential to deliver new or improved treatment solutions, and sustainability considerations have become an important part of their preparation and conduction.
We have refined our R&D design processes in order to:
- Focus in on specific unmet needs, such as Peripheral Neuropathic Pain
- Reduce the environmental impact of our research activities
- Promote diversity and inclusion across our base of research volunteers
- Pursue ethical testing methods, including reducing animal testing
- Enhance the sustainability of our non-clinical development and manufacturing
At Merz Therapeutics, we pride ourselves on our approach to interacting with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and patients. Through close collaboration we can change outcomes.
HCP Engagement
- We aim for an ongoing, open dialogue with all our professional customers, regularly conducting advisory boards and customer satisfaction tracking to make sure we know what we’re doing right, and what we could do differently.
Patient Engagement
- We engage with patient communities to make sure their needs and our services align. Examples include proactive engagement of patient voices into clinical trial design, and dedicated research into patient experiences, to identify and tackle pain points.
- Our nurse-led Patient Support Program for Parkinson’s Disease guides patients through their treatment journey, offering personalized education and behavioral coaching based on individual needs.
Compliance is the prerequisite and overarching principle for all our activities. It goes beyond adhering to laws and internal regulations, rooted deeply in our Code of Conduct. “Doing the right thing” is fundamental to our decisions and actions, fostering integrity and trust in stakeholder relationships.
Our Compliance, Ethics and Privacy Program is embedded in our business operations and led by Lead Compliance and Privacy Counsels and our Chief Compliance Officer.
