Our Medical Affairs team acts as a strategic partner in health education, empowering healthcare professionals worldwide through expert-led training and knowledge exchange. Our learning tool development and specialist collaboration efforts include:

• Congress participation: engaging in major international meetings including MDS 2024, CONy, and sponsoring the ISPRM conference in Sydney, Australia.
• Scientific symposia: holding three educational symposia at global congresses and publishing a bedside-use booklet for practical guidance.
• Toxnet Initiative: establishing a global network among movement disorder specialists to advance shared expertise and best practices.
• EXPERT Virtual Program: delivering sustainable, wide-reaching HCP training designed to meet the needs of all clinical experience levels whilst minimizing travel and emissions.
• Educational content development: producing scientific publications and learning materials, shared via webinars, symposia, and events.

Our Access to Health Initiative is a collaboration between Merz Therapeutics and the World Stroke Organization (WSO), designed to address stroke care disparities in low- and middle-income countries. It is being piloted in Nigeria and Tanzania, with plans for further expansion into Sub-Saharan Africa.

Access to Health aims to create scalable improvements to stroke care that improve stroke outcomes in these regions and beyond.

• In Nigeria, the focus is enhancing neurologist education to improve post-stroke rehabilitation programs and increase healthcare professional capacity in post-stroke care.
• In Tanzania, the focus is improving stroke care services for patients in low-resource healthcare settings.

Within the program, Merz Therapeutics brings financial support, technical expertise and the engagement of our global workforce, while the WSO delivers its ‘on the ground’ network and knowledge of stroke care.
